Kingdom Of Loathing

I am a player of Kingdom Of Loathing or KoL as I will now refer to it as. My character is ReAdEiN I am decent but not great. If you don't play I encourage you to (it is in my links). A huge update called NS13 came out today I stayed up till 2:30 in the morning for rollover to stop (rollover is at 11:30 every night it goes into nightly maintenance) it was longer because they were implementing the update. I listened to music and stayed in the IRC Chat on coldfront (coldfront is a fan site).

The game is turn-based so you cant play all day. The turns are called adventures they are used for fighting, mixing things, taking trips, etc. But you don't need adventures to make money if you know how. You can gain items and there are thousands of them. With items you can gain effects, get drunk, gain adventures, make things, and many more. You can even open up your own store to sell your items. You can create a display case to show other characters your items and collections. The currency of the game is meat and meat makes the kingdom go round.

The game is also very witty, clever, and funny. It will parody nearly anything from movies to books and even stores! It has a decent story line and is fun to go through quick or slow.

Ascension is when you complete the game and you ascend into Valhalla which is like a town in the clouds there you can change your class, zodiac sign, and even take a dietary path and start the game over with the settings. Dietary paths are when you limit what you eat or drink that run. It may be a pain but completing the game will award you with better things than if you would complete the game normally. Hardcore is a harder version of the game it also gives you more rewards when you complete. You can take a dietary path and hardcore and if you are brave maybe even Oxycore which is where you cant eat or drink anything and the game is hard but it is the most rewarding.
